The friendly and charming attractions at Berkeley Springs add to the appearance of shops, fine arts, and dining activities. There are numerous attractions including the Washington Heritage Trail, associated with George Washington. There are also year-round festivals that celebrate wine, apple butter, and water. The famous Apple Butter Festival is the top yearly event celebrated each year during Columbus Day weekend in October. One of the best attractions at Berkeley Springs is the state park which boasts the warm mineral water. Other attractions that are commonly visited in Berkeley Springs are Star Theatre, Berkeley Castle, Cacapon State Park, Morgan County Observatory, and Ice House.
