Washington Homeopathic Pharmacy (WHP) began in 1873 in Washington, DC. and later moved to Bethesda, Maryland. It was common in those days to have a homeopathic pharmacy in every city, essentially serving the needs of those in the area.

Joe and Linda Lillard bought the pharmacy in 1991 and renamed it Washington Homeopathic Products. In 1993, the Lillards established a second branch in Berkeley Springs, WV. It was called Homeopathy Works and the focus there was bulk manufacturing, sales to retailers, pharmacies, small chains, and private label companies. There was also a small homeopathic museum located there. In 2004, the Bethesda store was moved and all operations were consolidated to West Virginia. With business still on the rise a 12,500 square foot production facility was built in 2005. In 2009, the Berkeley Springs store and museum were closed and the offices were moved to the production facility just south of Berkeley Springs in the Morgan County Business Park.

WHP is one of the last of the original homeopathic pharmacies. We make and maintain all the single remedies from a stock of hundreds, and ship to individuals, veterinarians, physicians, etc. WHP also sells through over 50 distributors and does private labeling for over 35 companies.

WHP is the oldest full line homeopathic company in the United States. We strive to make just about everything and will get what you need if we don’t make it. In order to be your one stop shop, WHP has added several specialty lines from other homeopathic companies including Bach, Homeopet, Nature’s Way, and Miers Labs.

Excellent product and easy to navigate website. Customer service does not seem to be a priority with staff. They offer a quality product at a good value. I just wish WHP had a faster turn around time. Two weeks seems like a long time to wait for delivery!
